Cottesloe Golf Club was established in 1908 and relocated to its current Swanbourne site in 1931, where the 18-hole course was carved from scrub and sand hills. The private members club is widely regarded as one of the finest tests of golf in Western Australia, with major alterations by Thomson, Wolveridge and Perrott in 1980 and a Graham Marsh masterplan endorsed in 1998. The two-storey clubhouse overlooks the Perth city skyline to the east and the Indian Ocean to the west.
